This is how it works:
Each card has a gold value. Your goal is to earn 100 gold pieces by building villages over several rounds. You achieve this by collecting and playing three cards of the same color.
But not everyone plays fair! If an opponent's village contains a card you need, you can challenge them to a duel. Each of the 20 different unit types has its own strengths and weaknesses. Use your knowledge of these unique abilities (and a little luck) to win the battle and capture the coveted card.
Strategic depth:
While war is one way to expand your empire, it's certainly not the only one. Perhaps you prefer to avoid conflict altogether and act as a benevolent king who gives freely to other players. This way, you can earn bonus gold by being the first to empty your hand and end the round.
